Train Transfers To and From Billings Logan Airport

Train transit is not available at Billings, Montana. Still, there is a historic train depot located in the city's heart, which is just 3 miles from the Billings International Airport.

Billings City had an operational railway that served as a passenger station for the Northern Pacific Railway, Great Northern and Chicago, Burlington, and Quincy. These three railroads merged to form the Burlington railroad in 1970.

Billings station has contributed to the Billings Historic District since 1978 as Northern Pacific Depot.

In October 1979, the last Amtrak train, the North Coast Hiawatha, departed from Billings, Montana.

The historic train depot has been renovated and turned into an event center.
